Hi everyone.
these days I have searched in all posts if there is any news regarding the 100% support of Nas Qnap TS-x73 with Nvidia GPU on board (GTX1050 TI 4GT LP).
I found a discussion about 9 months ago, but I haven’t understood if hw transcoding is officially supported.
You know help me before I spend 160 € for a gpu that I don’t know if I can use it (I would buy it only for this use).

Only QNAP can give the definitive answer about which NAS models are permitted to use PCIe GPU cards. They control the system’s firmware.

OK, so no one has tried to verify if hardware transcoding works with these 2 elements ?.

Hi, CuhckPa, the MSI 1050Ti GPU has arrived, installed in the Qnap TS-873, installed the NVidia and Kernel GPU drivers, set in the Video Card settings in QTS mode, restarted the nas.
Tried to start 2 4k HDR 66Mbps videos and transcoded to 720p 2mbps, GPU use only 19% and CPU 34%.

Pure entertainment!
