Plex icon not showing up

As of PMS 1.32.6,

1. The Plex Media Server Menu and Desktop items will not be visible to all users unless you so enable them.
2. You have the control over which DSM desktop users see the icon
3. You also have the control to disable this setting and return to default behavior.

Are you saying that even the admin/administrative user isn’t able to see the icons, and the instructions in that post to enable the icon for other users doesn’t work?
