Plex - IOS App - Show fullsceen lyrics like plexamp

I use lyrics a lot when I am singing songs along with my friends and it’s one of most needed feature for me in plex.

I use plex ios app for listening music as I don’t have plex pass right now and I didn’t purchased it because lyricfind is not available in my country. So purchasing plex pass is not a good idea to me.

So I have ended up using the plex ios app with local .lrc files. It works great and I dont have any issues with it. But, one problem is that the lyrics are not shown in a full screen instead it is showing inside a tiny little box which is very difficult to read and scroll through. Also I am using iPhone 12 mini, the text is very smaller to read it.

I would expect the plex ios app should also display the lyrics the same way as the plexamp shows right now. Spotify and Apple Music also showing lyrics on full screen.

I just want the similar experience with plexamp.

I hope it could be a minor change and can be done easily. Expecting this change available soon!

Not a direct answer to your request, but you can use Plexamp without a Plex Pass.

Plexamp requires a pass to show the lyrics. I would have happily purchased a Plex pass if LyricFind showed lyrics for my region (Tamil India). Unfortunately, it’s not available in India yet.

I don’t use any other premium features apart from this in Plexamp. So, I don’t want to pay the full subscription amount for using my local lyrics and it’s too costly. That’s the reason I am still using the Plex app.

The Plex app shows lyrics with a local .lrc file even without the pass. However, I felt the UI was not as friendly as Plexamp.

It just needs some minor UI improvement.

Just remove the dark background box, change the text colors like plexamp and utilise the available screen space. That’s all.
