Plex is currently unavailable when using "Early Access"

If I have Early Access turned on, my servers (plural) are unreachable by the xbox client (any xbox, I have 2). Both servers are configured manually via (local, LAN) ip address to resolve potential issues.

If I LEAVE early access, I see my content and everything works great. I try to keep my servers up to date (via apt) and there does not seem to be an available update…

This has been going on for months now.

Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252
Player Version#: 5.1.3 (xbox)

The most common change needed is allow insecure connections on same network as server to work

This is a new feature in the app.

Sadly I’ve already tried this.

I will see if someone else can help.
I have not had any time to use & learn it.

I’m not really sure what that means. Are you signed into your server? What is the the secure connections setting set to in the servers network settings.

In the past, I had issues with discovery and using manual IP#s, I was able to connect. Currently insecure connections on LAN are allowed.

I can consistently reproduce this issue and leaving early access gives me access to my servers. Since it seems like I’m the only one hitting this issue, I suspect I’ll just migrate back to DLNA.

I was curious if setting both Allow Insecure Connections and Prefer Insecure Connections to Always helped any.

Sadly no. I have no problem connecting from the web interface and from there I usually see both machines (they auto-link up). All machines are on the same vlan and same ip subnete.

Update: One plex can see both plex servers, the other can only see itseelf.

On my Xbox One S I hadn’t had this problem until what I assumed was the last LG TV Plex app update. I enabled the early access option as soon as the app notified me, and was running with it just fine until recently.

I have two Plex servers, one is consistently available and one of them (my main server) used to be available with early access switched on, but all of a sudden is no longer available, while the second one is available. If I turn the early access off both servers are immediately available, but as soon as I enable early access the main server becomes unavailable again. If I disable early access both servers are available.

I checked on my Android phone and both servers are available (but I don’t see an early access option). Both servers are also available on both PC Plex apps as well as the web app/page.

I did recently change the friendly name of the server, but that shouldn’t cause this surely. I’ve also changed the name back to what it was but the problem persists every time I enable early access.

This is still a problem in October 2020

Having the same issue, server connects just fine in the old app. When early access is enabled it says the server is not reachable.

Also, exact same issue with my vizio TV.

Same issue here with a few friends / family but mostly on smart TV apps. At least at this point I know to tell them to disable early access and BAM the server comes back, but it’s been like this for months now.

The hilarious part is my in laws have the SAME TV as me, exact same model , and while my TV works fine in EA, theirs will not see the server until it’s disabled.

anyone ever get this resolved other than disabling early access?

Hi all. Is it possible to grab logs from someone affected by this exact scenario (where they’re only unable to connect to the server in the Early Access app). Unfortunately in order to get logs you’d need access to another server that you can access. If you do then change the logging setting within the app to point at that secondary server. Then restart the app and attempt to view a library from the unreachable server. Then please grab the logs from the secondary server and send them our way. Thanks.

How do I leave early access on the new xbox one x? I had this problem with my last Xbox one and had to leave early access and it fixed the problem, but I cannot seem to find the option to leave early access on my new Xbox. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
