I didn’t mention the 32-bit / 64-bit thing because I didn’t think the 32-bit version would run on the 918+. Synology made some changes in DSM a few months back that was supposed to stop that.
You should always download updates from Plex. Do not use the Synology Package Center. Synology does not host the 64-bit version of PMS in the Package Center.
You can follow the PMS Release thread to be notified when a new release is available.
