Plex It issue

You need to update your bookmarklet!

I have this problem with Plex it!
How to solve it?
Thanks

I have the same issue. It tells me to update the bookmarklet… which does not solve the problem.

For me the Plex-It! bookmarklet has never worked in any version of Chrome and Opera.

I have tried the PlexIt chrome extension, by Simeon Dorelov, but I get the exact same “You need to update your bookmarklet!” error…

My PMS is running on a Synology NAS (not Windows like yours) but as this is the only topic I could find about this issue I decided to post my “me too” reply here.

Chrome and Firefox didnt work for me. And seem there will be noone want to answear. another problem with Google drive even I have paid.

Adding my voice to the chorus of folks experiencing issues with the Plex It feature. Attempts to email the URL to ‘Watch Later’ didn’t work.

If you block third party cookies in your browser, make sure you make an exception for plex.tv to get the bookmarklet working.

I don’t know what you mean by this, but I guess it’s not related to the topic discussed here.

Plexit bookmarklet has been a pain for some time but lately, it stopped entirely and the only way I can add YouTube video is through email links which are a PITA. I used this feature constantly and now it’s failed and I’m hoping someone at Plex will take a look at this and get it fixed soon. I’m using the latest build of Firefox Quantum and evidently, I’m not alone in this so will finally stop blaming myself for breaking it! It’s great to add podcasting and a number of other features but please fix what’s broken first…

UPDATE: Okay, think I may be on to something. I have both Privacy Badger and ABP (Adblock Plus) installed and when I disabled it on Youtube the message about not being able to find a video if there is one stopped and it now ‘tries’ to find the video but still cannot. Tomorrow I’ll try disabling my extensions and see if one of them is the culprit! It sometimes happens that add-ons break other web processes and ad blockers are usually the first place to look for that. So, for now, it’s half fixed but still not working.

It’s not related to the broken Plexit topic specifically but is another very real issue with no longer being able to use Google Drive with Plex. Mine was working then suddenly stopped just as PlexIt has so this may be what they were trying to point out. These issues appeared around the same time frame and while they may be unrelated it has led to frustrations after paying for Plex which should function as it did when purchased. I’d imagine this is in part why we bought it so now feel as if these dysfunctions not being addressed aren’t acceptable and are trying to express this as it’s evidence of preferred features being chipped away from the application for possibly those we don’t or will never use. Also, I’ve tried adding that exception in every imaginable form and it doesn’t help at all, not even after not blocking cookies will PlexIt function. If I should stumble upon what is blocking it from the browser I’ll be sure to share that information since I’m tenacious and will continue trying various workarounds or extension removals. I’ve already determined that ad blocking is in part an issue, the rest may be as well and it could be a customization of some sort for the browser which I’m notorious for as a digital artist.

I dont block 3rd party cookies.
