Plex Media Agent and Documentary Films

Why is the Plex Media Agent so good at finding regular movies (such as drama, comedy, horror, etc.) but so bad at finding documentary films? I can easily find these films in IMDb and TMDB, but for reasons unknown to me, the Plex Media Agent cannot find them in spite of my efforts to correctly match the titles. I have had to manually type in the metadata for about 2/3rds of my documentary films.
Am I the only one with this problem, or are there others out there who are just as annoyed as I am?

Provide the filenames of 3 of them.

it doesnt detect at alln but when i choose as other videos it detects but does load covers or put them in series.

I tried creating the names but it doesn’t show up in my documentary. but it shows up in my other video section but just like no album art work or information.

You are working with two types of media. Movies and shows.

LIBRARY TYPE MOVIES

LIBRARY TYPE TV SHOWS

There is no need to add these to OTHER VIDEOS

Both file paths are the same and the same content.

Looks like the two “movie documentaries” are found, YA!!

You are mixing movies with tvshows.
You cannot do this because they have a different naming convention.
You cannot use the same path for MOVIES and TVSHOWS

MOVIES are a single film(usually one file, all in one folder)
TVSHOWS are a collection of episodes organized in a way plex understands.

If themoviedb doesn’t list the title then Google is your friend.

This would go in library type MOVIES

Remember, you can’t mix MOVIES and TVSHOWS in the same library.

I was aware that movies and TV shows must go into separate folders, since the metadata for each have different fields.

I was unaware of the existence of www.thetvdb.com/series/bbc-documentaries/ and www.thetvdb.com/series/smithsonian-channel-documentaries/.

Here are five more that the Plex Media Agent would not match. IMDb and TMDB means I found them on those sites.
