For each of your library sections / shared folders containing media you index into PMS.
- FileStation
- Hightlight the shared folder → Properties
- Let DSM count the number of Files and Folders in that shared folder
- Write down the number of folders it reports
- Repeat for the next shared folder with media
The goal is to find out how many folders are currently in use,
round up to the next multiple of 32768 (or two) to allow for growth space,
tune the DSM notify table size to accommodate the number of folders to monitor
When you’re done ,
- total up all the folder counts
- round that up to the next integral multiple of 32768
