I have just re-image my Mac Pro 5,1 with Mojave. I tried moving my existing server from old drive to my new Mac per instructions at URL Move an Install to Another System
It did not work despite hours of trouble shooting. Finally, I decided to start from a new fresh server. I deleted this device (server) from my account page, removed the Application Support directory, log file directory, and the plist file.
Now, I find that the Plex media server will not even open. I downloaded and replaced the file and rebooted but, still the sever will not launch. The system log shows the following when I attempt to launch the application.
com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.14792[537]): Service exited with abnormal code: 255.
Google is very sparse on searching for results with this error code, so I have not been able to find a good explanation on what this error even is. I have been using Plex for almost 10 years and have never seen an issue like this one.
I have searched for Plex with FindAnyFile and can not seem to find any other files to delete. I am at a loss of what to do other than to completely re-image my Mac and again spend hours reloading application.
If anyone has any ideas, they would greatly be appreciated.
