I like the addition of features to the iOS and other platforms however I also use plex media player as my main client but some of these new features such as DVR scheduling and liveTV still have not come to that platform. Is there an estimated timeline for this as it seems that new features are rolling out perhaps without fully completing older ones.

Generally speaking, Plex developers do not announced features in advance or announce timelines for new features – though they did announced a grid-based programming guide set to come before the end of the year (they hope).
The new Plex Media Player preview has the equivalent of the web app in it. Including the DVR stuff. I don’t use Live TV so I don’t know about that. 2.1.1 Beta is available for Plex Pass users:
