Plex Media Scan Segfault, QNAP TS-251+

Server Version#: 1.16.6.1592
Player Version#:
TS-251+, Firmware 4.3.6.1050

My QNAP NAS appears to have an error, which I do not know what is impacted or how to correct. Does anyone know how to approach and correct? The following is the Kernel Error List/Log.

QNAP Diagnostics - Kernel Log Analyzer with results: Plex Media Scan[1962]: segfault at d351 ip007f679ad05097 sp007ffc8fd6b7d0 error 4 in libcrypto.so.1.0.0[7f679abf0+200] – Count:0
sysRequest.cgi[17733]: segfault at 7ffc79cd0 ip007f95cf805351 sp007ffc79c99e30 error 4 in libuLinux_statistics.so.0.0[7f95cf800+0] – Count:0

Is this an error that happens during a manual Scan Library Files?
Can you reproduce the crash?

You might try to restart the NAS and give it 10min or so to stabilize.
Then check if PMS is running. I’ve had one segfault in the last couple
of months. I just ignored it.

I’ve restarted my NAS many times and ran diagnostics, which always displays the same message. It does not seem to matter if run immediately after restart or hours later. I don’t know what is impacted or how to clear. This seems static as if processes touch some issue regarding PLEX. I’ve stopped Plex and the error continues. Any ideas?

Do the segfaults continue if you roll back to stable, 1.16.5?
You’re not the first person to get libcrypto errors recently,
but all I can find is that one users stopped them by rolling back.

Another user claimed that on Linux, Plex sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH
which has effects on python, but I lack good knowledge about that.

Error 4 in libcrypto-1.0.0 was analyzed on a GitHub project that determined
for them the issue was intertwined with SSL.

In an update to their master, they seem to have fixed it.

Analyzing the patch and any implications for Plex are beyond my skillset.
Would someone have a look and comment? Thanks

Thank you for looking into this, I will standby.
