This release does not enable NVDEC on my Linux server. I still have to use a patch like this one: Guide: NVDEC Hardware Acceleration Patch for Plex Media Server on Linux in order to force the “-hwaccel nvdec” flag on which is needed for HW-accelerated decoding on my server. With that it works but not perfectly for some reason. I very often get an error message about the transcoder failing but when I press “Retry” it pretty much always works on the second try.
The CPU on my server is very weak but with NVDEC it’s just barely enough to support 1-2 transcodes depending on the source file.
