Plex Media server crashing alot! (unRAID docker)

Threadripper 1950x
Nvidia GTX 1050TI (only in use by Plex HW transcoder)

i have a big problem with Plex, its being going on for weeks and i cant found the solution, it crashing every time…
i cant play any live tv through plex anymore, its just buffering and crashing (even my vero 4K+ device isn’t liking this…)

Can anyone help me???

this is going on for over a month now and still i cant figuring it out what cause the problem, i got sick of this crap!

no support on PLEX its look like… i really thinking of moving on to something else if the support really suck…

In the absence of anyone else replying I said I’d comment but I don’t run unRAID myself. However, the fact you are running a RC build and not the stable release is most likely the first place to start. I would suggest going back to unRAID 6.8.3 and see if you have a more stable experience.

i cant go back to 6.8.3, the plugin for nvidia is gone for 6.8.3 only 6.9 has support for hardware transcode…
and the remote clients still have the 2Mb setting for remote play as default setting…

and 6.9 has multi cache pool support, which i use, so downgrade means hardware config break…

Understood – but I would see this like layers of an onion. Is 6.8.3 stable or is it giving you the same crash you are getting now ? That would be a good piece of information to have as it might help narrow down what is causing the crash.

You also say i have a big problem with Plex, its being going on for weeks and i cant found the solution, it crashing every time… which most likely means its been happening for multiple version of plex server and 1.21.3.4015 is most likely not the cause.

Again, might just be worth a test with 6.8.3 and see if it helps albeit you will have other issues with that if that proves to be more stable.

yeah, i guess have to create a second system with 6.8.3…
this will take some time to test out, will report back if a finished it.

well, instead of downgrading unRAID (N ot possible for me, i use multi cache pools and this is only supported in v6.9. downgrading means i breaks my cache pool…)
but i created and second plex server docker image. guess what; this one doesn’t crash!!
but what can i do without recreating my library? it pretty big and recreating means hours of work and probably some temp ip bans from the metadata sites…

a view days on the latest STABLE unRAID release and it still crashing…
i tried an NEW docker install and this time i used the official Plex docker images, full clean install, guess what, it crashed…

i am out of idea’s, but i really going to get pissed off, i can only whats movies/tv shown when i DON’t forward or rewind, pause can causes a crashing playback…

i have an second plex server just for the live tv on records, this i use the binhex images, this is the only server without any crashes!

i have no clue what to do anything else!

damn… the support is with plex really BAD!

guess the only solution for my is to dump PLEX en investigate to an another Media server…
