Hello.
It makes years that I can’t update my plex version executed in docker in my unraid server becauses it makes crash completely the server.
I looked everywhere I cloud without finding the solution.
Unraid support told me to try the beta version because it was supposed to have a control preventing the whole server crash, but it did not help.
Who can try to help please ?
I’m desperated with that ! There is no support for plex, even if you pay it. I don’t know what to try to fix this issue.

When it occurs, I need to hard reset the server. Nothing is responding, neither console.
I’ve no logs currently but you can tell me wich ones you need. I tried to find information in the logs previously, but I did not find anything. Maybe I’m looking badly…
It is the responsibility of the OS survive any misbehaving app, no matter which it is. The Plex Media Server should be entirely incapable of taking down the whole machine, no matter what it tried. So this is likely falling into the realm of the OS being at fault.
There are some caveats which may be relevant here. Sometimes the OS is taken down by faulty hardware and sometimes by faulty drivers (though in the case of unraid, this is part of the OS). Could it be hardware transcoding is in use when your server goes down?

In unraid this is docker wich is used. Ok, this not normal that the entire server crashes, but, this was perfectly working until 1.30.2.6563-3d4dc0cce. So, there is something going wrong… I allready read this issue occurs with other people, but I did not find any solution.
I choosed only disks without moover, transcode is in a SSD cache disk. I don’t think issues are occuring during transcode. Usally, it occurs when I don’t watch movies.
In the past, I tried do disactivate all maintenance tasks, this crashes again.
If you want, I can try again by disactivating HD transcoding, I don’t think it will help but I can. And before next test, can you tell me what parameter I need to set up to be sure I can send you relevant logs please ?
