Plex media server detected a problem with core component

Using WINDOWS 8

If i attempt to access media server i get the above notice. i can get past it by attempting to add a media folder. All folders are named correctly in accordance with the guide. Im new to plex so would appreciate any help and patience do to my lack of computer intellect.
