Plex Media Server does not launch new windows desktop application

Server Version#: 1.16.4
Player Version#: 1.0.0.792
Now that there is a new PLEX windows desktop application, it seems like the Plex Media Server would have an option to launch it.
However, when right clicking on the Plex Media Server Icon and selecting “Open Plex…” it opens the browser version of the player.
Will you be updating the server to launch the new desktop application?
