[Plex Media Server] Forum Preview for Tonemapping on Windows with Intel iGPUs

You’re looking at the version of the web client, not the Plex Media Server itself. You need to scroll down on the left and go to Settings > General.

Ok thank you i see that now and i downloaded the beta but now it is dating a server upset update?

Well tried it and didn’t even see my coffeeLakw gpu. So i don’t think it’s ready for tone mapping yet.

Please read the first post in the thread.

Tiger Lake (11th gen) is minimum. Coffee Lake (8th gen) is not supported.

If you want hardware accelerated tone mapping with a Coffee Lake CPU, you’ll need to run Linux.

Thank you for letting me know that

@chris_decker08 Just a suggestion but it would be nice to have a “reset doe default” option for the tone mapping options, and maybe different presets down the road.

Thanks for all your hard work in making this happen. It is a game changer for me.

Just got this beta up and running on an older machine using Arc A380. Imperfect vibrance and contrast issues aside, it’s running great. As a note to anyone else looking here, enabling ReBAR is a must, even if you’re just using ARC as a transcode card.

I am closing this thread as this feature has officially been incorporated into the codebase and will be available in 1.41.0. The links should be available for a while for anyone who wants to use the feature before 1.41.0 ships!
