Plex media server not accessible outside of my network

plex Version 1.13.8.5395 no access outside your network

Hello i run two servers (one is FreeNas 11 and the other is Windows 10 64 bit). Both are running Plex 1.13.8.5.5395 . Ever since i updated to this version i have been unable to see the servers outside of my network. (I can get to them indirectly). I did NOT run VPN on either machine. I have turned port forwarding ON and Off , rebooted both machines and the cable modem repeatedly. I still cannot get the servers to see beyond my network.
In settings i have Enable server support for IPv6 turned on.

I do have a separate machine running PIA VPN and Deluge on my network.

Prior to this version both servers were fully available.

I will send my logs directly to a support person if asked but i don’t want to post them for all to see here.

Thanks,
Shane

Also, i have tried Manually specify public port 32401 on both to no effect.

If you have two servers on the same network - then port forwards can be done as follows (note that both have to forward to 32400)

Example

  • PMS 1
Port Forward 32420 to 32400 to local IP address of PMS 1
Local IP Address of PMS 1 is DHCP Reserved
Manually Specify Port is ticked in server settings for remote access and port 32420 is entered in the box for this server

  • PMS 2
Port Forward 32430 to 32400 to local IP address of PMS 2
Local IP Address of PMS 2 is DHCP Reserved
Manually Specify Port is ticked in server settings for remote access and port 32430 is entered in the box for this server

by reserving the IP’s it caused my router to reboot and now both servers (one with 32430 and the other 32401) say they are accessible . However, ive seen this before and after a while they go back to not working.

make sure IPs are fixed (eg DHCP Reservation)

check the port forwards do not disappear (had that happen when ISP updates routers)

and make sure manually specify port remains for each

If you get an issue, get logs
