I used the URL you posted and got what you see posted.
That unfortunately does not help. The fact that you can retrieve the file does not mean that others canāt. (And I am not the only one reporting this.) However, as this is the free version, I am not expecting any support, I am just reporting the issue to you all.
Can you please report this to plex, and the admin responsible for the repo? There is something wrong somewhere. IP blocks, mirrored repo mismatch, whatever. The file is being delivered as zero-byte, to me and others, on two completely different networks. One local to me, and the other about 1000 miles away.
Thank you.
The fact that others can retrieve it but not you is another way of looking at that same point which does ask the question we both should ask⦠What is it about your location, the download server youāre using, which isnāt as it should be. The files exist in the cloud.
Respectfully, I am part of Plex and have asked Operations to look into it.
Operations just got back to me.
Querying all the nodes on S3, they did find a zero-length file. (GOOD CATCH on your part!)
They are now pushing out fresh to all nodes in light of the S3-East outage yesterday.
Edit: 17:51 EST. Updating complete. Please check now
Thank you.
I suspected it was something to do with a mirror, considering the drama with AWS in general yesterday ( I work for an internet-based corporation, also heavily tied into AWS services, and we were also affected >.< )
And indeed the issue is fixed, I was able to retrieve and install Plex. All good! Thanks for following up.
Thank you for smacking my forehead against the keyboard !!
Amazon has been a 4-letter word to many people of recent.
Thanks very much for confirming
@dakliegg I did the exact same thing, been doing it for years until yesturday, complacency got the better of me and I installed the 32 bit version by mistake.
It wasnāt until I read through this thread where @ChuckPa mentioned about the correct version of PMS for the platform, that the lightbulb came on, /facepalm.
