There are a few tips for using your Android box as a PLEX server. In particular by using Linux distributions like CoreELEC optimized to be used on certain Amlogic boxes.
Is this solution reliable? If for example I use an Android box with Amlogic S922X processor, CoreELEC and the PLEX Server addon, will it work correctly or is it too limited? Do you have feedback?
The only supported Android devices for running Plex server are the “nVidia Shield TV Pro”
and Western Digital NAS devices of the “MyCloud Home” series.
Yes, but it is possible to install Plex Server on some unlocked Chinese Android boxes by multibooting with a Linux distribution. And therefore the Android box that can serve as a Server Plex.
