First of all, i have Samsung smart tv and macbook pro and it works great!
But i cant always use the computer as server so i was wondering if i can use my nas drive.
which is this one,
http://go.iomega.com/en/products/network-storage-desktop/storcenter-network-storage-solution/network-hard-drive-ix2-200-cloud/
it supports UPnP AV/DLNA, iTunes server
I have the exact same question, is there anyone who can help us out?
Thanks
It doesn’t say on the tech specs, but my guess would be that it’s a ARM CPU there, and then Plex won’t work.
I have the ix2-200 (non-cloud version), and it is definitely ARM-based. I have been able to run BitTorrent Sync on it, which seems to work.
There is no official way to download the Plex Media Server on our devices. While it may be possible, it is not supported by Lenovo/Iomega, and modifying the device may void the warranty if any problems occur. Some users on a third-party site have been able to get it to work, but see this link:
