Plex Media Server Stops After Upgrade To Either 1.15.0.647 or 1.15.0.659

excellent - that fits in with my theory. Awaiting your reply re library setting

ā€œas a scheduled taskā€

Perfect

My theory is that we are crashing when doing this. The crash is stack overrun and for such crashes it might not have been possible to get a dmp

Could you change the setting and send me copy of your zipped database download

Change it to ā€œNeverā€ ?

Yes please - if my theory is right, the overnight crashes would stop

Done.

Here is my DB download.

Thank you - i have added your evidence to the set i have already referred to the development team

Please let me know if the crashes go away or persist. If they continue, then please get me zipped logs plus checking out event log and if process shows in task manager

Thank you for the assistance. I will let you know tomorrow if it crashes again.

You got it right! When I woke up this morning, my server was running normally with no issues - and I’ve been using it all day with no problem at all.

Thanks for all your help and I hope my information helps troubleshoot this for others.

Thanks for the feedback.

Apparently 659 has again munged the database after a crash, and now won’t start at all.

Most likely what I’m going to do is get another computer online and install an older version until the current problems are fixed and a new build is out officially.
