Plex Media Server Will Not Start Anymore

I’ve been using the Plex Media Server on Windows 10 successfully for quite some time, but all of a sudden last night it stopped, and I cannot restart it. I’ve rebooted; that did not help. Whenever I try to start the Media Server, the little Plex icon shows up briefly in the task bar (on the far right) but then it either disappears, or it will then show up when I expand by clicking the caret/up-arrow and again disappear as soon as I mouse over it.

I tried going into the Plex web app, but I get this message: “Update your Plex Media Server-This version of the web app requires Plex Media Server 1.3.0 or higher. Use one of the links below to open an available server directly.”

Unfortunately, there ARE no “links below,” and I can’t figure out what to. Also on the web app screen, its says “Looking for Servers,” with the spinning wheel, and “Plex Desktop Unavailable” below the error message. What can I do to resolve this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

OK, I think I solved the problem. I had to start from scratch and reinstall the newest media server app; then it finally worked.

I tried reinstalling two times and got the screen to repair or uninstall.
