Plex not working since last update

Server Version#:1.13.5.5332
Player Version#: N/A

after installing the update on August 23, Plex started having issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it broke completely. I can start the media server and it shows in the window task manager, but not in the toolbar icons, and I can not access the server through the web address. I am running Windows 10.

I had to jump to another media server in order to have access to my media library. I miss my Plex. Any assistance in getting it back up and running would be greatly appreciate. Otherwise I will have to drop my Plex Plus supscription.

Thank you.

Sounds like you got locked out of your server. Try following the instructions in https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/.

Another thing is that if PMS is running but you don’t see it in the icon tray, you may be running PMS under a different windows user. Check the task manager again and see who it lists as the user for PMS.

Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, I tried all suggested and still no luck.

Can you gather the server logs manually? https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/

I was able to find the logs, but the latest is dated 8/25/18. Nothing since then and I have tried to start it several times in the last several days.

Got Plex up and working again.

I uninstalled Plex and then deleted every reference to Plex in windows register. Rebooted and reinstalled Plex. It installed and loaded as a clean install. I have to go through the set up again and define my media folders.

But at least it appears to be working as before the recent upgrade.

Having the same problem, thank you for your post! Pointed my DH in the right direction <3 Hoping to be back up and Plexin’ soon.
