Plex Memory Leak on Mac Sonoma?

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639

Hi, I’m wondering why Plex server running on Mac Studio with macOS 14.1.2 starts consuming so much memory after a while.
Here is a pic after Plex has been running for a few days.

If I quit Plex and re-launch it the memory usage goes right down to this:

Is there a memory leak or is this behaviour considered normal?

I can not confirm a memory leak. I use a Mac Mini M2 Pro, same OS update and Plex media server version. I would suggest you may have early days corrupt Database.

I would look at this solution.

Do you have the DLNA server enabled?

If so, disable it. It has a memory leak that Plex has so far been unable to fix.

Have run the above tool and it found nothing wrong. I don’t have a huge library is don’t think it a database corruption issue.

The DLNA server has always been turned off…

So is it still leaking. Only option is a reinstall over the top.

Swap out the app on a download, make sure PMS is not running.

Download app from:

When you drag it to the applications folder, choice replace
Hope it works

Thanks , I’ll try that…
