Plex Meta thinks these are the same

Plex agent for TV Shows thinks these two HDHomeRun show recordings are the same? How does one fix this?

Are you asking to fix it so that you wouldn’t have to worry about it in the future? or do you just want to fix this one? If the latter you can split them. There is a “Split” option when you click the 3 dots.

If you want to fix this problem for all time, you can use filebot to name the folders with tvdb IDs. Like so Miss Scarlet (2020) {tvdb-368638} or you can just add the tvdb IDs manually (not fun).

Looks like you’re not following the Plex naming guide. It should look like this /Series/Miss Scarlet (2020) {tvdb-368638}/Season 01/Miss Scarlet (2020) - S01E01.mpg Filebot will do all this for you.

Thank you for your reply. There is no Split option in any of the menus.

But, I do not want to rename the files because they are also used by HDHomeRun for it’s own indexing system which would make them disappear from that system. I have been able to have Plex and the recordings I make with HDHomeRun coexist for decades now and usually with only a few issues.

This is the first time that something like this has occured.

I know where it is for movies:

but I’m not sure where it is for series. I would try the series, or the season, or the episode “three dots” menu.

Success. I finally found the Split option under the Show three dots and was able to break apart the combo. I then ran a fix match with the correct “Miss Austen” search term and it worked.

Thank you for your help.
