The VPN software may be why your interface was set to public. :slight_smile:

Some VPN software will change your regular interfaces, so that they don’t accept connections, to “protect” you, even when the VPN isn’t active.

Looks like i am good now, connecton to my xbox and ipad have been restored. Not sure if it was changing the Public network to private on my PC or changing the setting on the plex server from Perfered to disabled, could have been both i supose but i am happy either way. Thank you both for your hep wtih this.

Thank you. I have looked through every setting inside my TP link router, as well as my ATT modem. Thinking about it i remembered that the att modem is also a router(that I don’t use). I found something about a 2 router setup but that was just for getting my media outside of my network, which is not what i am trying to do. My setup is Att fiber connection to the att modem/router(with the wifi turned off) a wire from that into my TP-link router(Archer C3150) and then a wire from that into my desktop PC(plex server). All other devices are wireless through the TP-link router and can browse sites like https://www.bloglovin.com/@dorothycatlett/car-rental-how-to-travel-without-limits just fine. All of my devices are on the 192.168.0.1 network. The att device is on a 192.168.1.? network(again the only device). Please let me know if this additional information is helpful.

Are your devices still on the same network aftr you’ve find the solution? Kinda have similar problem with no idea how to fix it.
