This request is a playlist live generator. This plugin generate a playlist for all next 7 days in real time. When a movie is finish, you always have a new one. Exactly the same if you listen the TV, but generate with one or multiple Plex library.
If you add a TV Shows playlist, the generator try to schedule everytime the same show at the same day and same hour. Between mevie and TV show, you can add some trailer with date and time in you playlist. Exactly the same trailer you can see at the TV
I think you didn't have children. Is really more easy to turn ON TV and not plex
Other example. If you really like a old movie, do you really see it again on plex or take time to put DVD/Blue-Ray ? But the same movie if they pass at the TV, do you look it ? Yes
A movie guide is more user friendly of a list of all movie
The "main" problem I see is that it will never line up properly. Using a standard time table assumes commercials and edited for TV and whatnot. How do you want to handle 1:42 movies and 22 minute TV shows?
Yes is true, but you can add some trailers of some movie or TV show as scheduled and when they are playing. Plex already add this function.
And in the reality, is a playlist generator, if you arrive at 8:10, plex start the TV show from the start and you not lost 10 minutes. The time have not to be perfect if you always behind. But if you arrive, you always be sure what is playing
Can’t see it being of benefit to me either, and I would much prefer the development effort go towards bugs and features that have a wide usage audience.
