In another thread, Plex DaveBin said this is a known regression and will be fixed in the next release.

agh. I am own the version prior to yours and can confirm that it works the way you describe it should. I guess it got broken in the update. To be sure though, try restarting the server.

wish they would give this bug a high priority, as it really is quite annoying… at least (for now) if you use the local web app it still works. (I do wonder how these things are not picked up in testing.)
