I _must_ sleep more. My eyes opened up quite a bit when I saw my friends username in your screenshot - and then I remembered. Glad to see that my DB was of use :)
I've seen a lot of posts lately on the use of user images, which should supposedly be fixed now, and since my PN tells me that no update is available when I check for it I have to assume that I have the latest version, auto-updated evidently, since every check tells me that no updates exist.
But just to nail it down precisely, PN itself reports my PN version to be v0.0.0.29
In this version I have not been able to get any image displayed for my own user entry (the only one I've tried, as I have no suitable pictures for the others).
I have tried with a 50x50 PNG picture and also with a 200x200 JPG picture (though I had to rename it as ".jpeg" to have it accepted).
PN accepted the input of either picture the same way, but inspecting the event logs still showed no images for my entries.
No picture is shown in the user lists either, so it's not just a problem with logging. It's just as if I had never set any pictures at all.
As for the storage size of those pictures, they are both less than 8KB, so they should work with any SQL 'flavor'.
Btw:
Is there any particular reason why your picture selector refuses to accept the standard ".jpg" file extension, instead insisting on the much more unusual ".jpeg" extension ?
Renaming a file is no big deal, but I was surprised to see you favoring the less common form.

Replying to my own post here... ;)...:
I found out why it was impossible to define a picture for my user entry.
That was apparently because a 'default' picture had been defined by the program itself for EVERY user (the 'gray ghost' picture).
And to define a new picture for any user I first had to delete the old definition for that user, by clicking the "X" button next to the "Set" button of that user.
Only then will the "Set" button have any real effect. Otherwise it just goes through the motions, with no real result.
This was not evident from any earlier post in this thread, and the screenshots of that settings page in earlier posts just confused the issue further.
Because in those screenshots the "X" buttons do not exist...
In any case it's now clear that the image support does work, though it requires clicking a user's "X" button before using the "Set" button.

I will add jpg to the next release, sorry! As for your picture problems, yes, the rules are very strict when setting an image and that's because of MSsqlCE. I had to work within the bounds that MSSQLCE was willing to do. I may remove some of the image types because the database dose not handle them well. The best advice I can give is if the image does not show you can:
- convert the images type
- ensure you are under 8
- the picture is 64x64

Yeah lol I used your db and a few others to test the feature. I was not able to fully test it as Plex Notify was looking on my PMS for videos that did not exist so there where a lot of errors.
Maybe someone can chime in on how the import went. Also there was a HUGE date bug in .28 with this feature that added all the videos as the current date. It to me roughly 15 minutes to realize my error after I was reviewing the code. Just in case anyone did the import within that time.

Also you probably will get a few import errors. Some of the data in the Plex Watch database could not be converted mostly because of the xml. And I do mean some. From antitrust I had 9 unable to be loaded out of 11796. Also I am aware of the crash at the end of the import. It’s will not affect your data I’m missing a argument in the string format.

I do understand that you are limited by what the database engine itself can handle,
but surely it has to have some capability to handle pictures with massive compression.
Otherwise the 8KB limit becomes far too limiting
I may remove some of the image types because the database dose not handle them well.
I wouldn't mind that, as long as the removed image types do NOT include JPG, because that is a must-have.
The non-compressing types like BMP are utterly useless anyway, since even a tiny image will exceed all size limits.
The best advice I can give is if the image does not show you can:
- convert the images type
That is what I do, to PNG since that is the only type that has displayed for me.
Neither GIF nor JPG has worked at all, which is sad as both have much better compression than PNG.
(Size-wise better I mean. Since PNG is really loss-less for quality it's clearly much better at that.)
- ensure you are under 8
Of course, since I have MSSqlCE.
- the picture is 64x64
Is that absolutely necessary ?
Some of my 'users' are in fact couples sharing a user account (like a niece and her husband), and for these cases I'd prefer having a wider format showing both faces. A PNG of 70x45 does work in the 'Users' screen of PN, and it seems to work OK for notifications too.
I'd like to have it a little larger of course, but I had to reduce the scale to get below the 8KB limit.
But once you add proper JPG support the storage size should not be such a problem anymore.

64x64 because that's what size all the user images are in plex notify. It can be any dimensions as long that it's in the size requirement. Be aware that the image is going to fill a 64x64 square.
I will look into how I'm covering images again so see if I can tweak anything.

I have found that a png at or under 7.75kb is where it needs to be.... on sqlce
above 7.75 it throws an error.
That's good to know. I suppose I was just lucky that the PNG pictures I made got a size somewhat smaller than that limit.
I was thinking about optimizing my resizing to get closer to the supposed 8KB limit, but I skipped that for now, which was apparently a good choice... :)

I am having some failures in the import :
I tried and it seemed to run to the end then crash as it got there.
I also then wiped the database and tried again - strangely it seemed much slower to import into a fresh database, but again when it got right to the end it crashed with :

Thanks for the info I will update the info in Plex Notify.

Yep if you see my post here https://forums.plex.tv/topic/93952-plex-notify-in-development/page-28#entry577127 I am aware of the crash. Your data is not affected by it. The message box that tells you its done is causing the crash.
My import also crashed right at the end but once i restarted plex notify it had actually imported the database, so users who hadn't connected since plexnotify was installed were now listed.

Yeah I will have a fix for the crash tonight. Til then you can still import, it will work fine. the crash is only a string format error on the message box telling you the import is complete.

The import seems to have other issues.
After re-launching it is showing as 20 movies / 8- tv shows played - this is after an import of over 4000 plays over ~ 3 months.
Clicking the users tab shows the users, but as soon as I click on the movies or shows tab it crashes.

in Statistics what dates do you have filtered? by default it only does the past 30 days. There may be a bug here. I have to do some more testing when I get home from work.

Yes it is filtered to last 30 days, but this still should be ~ 1400 plays not 100 - and it still crashes when I click the movies - tv tabs when changing this.
Database available if you want to test.
Thanks!

That would be great, you can PM me the info. I assume it has something to do with the importing of the dates. can you also send me your PlexWatch DB?
Request: Would it be possible for Plex Notify to delete Movie/TV Shows information as I delete videos from the Plex Media Server? Below is an example of a video I removed and how Plex Notify presently handles it. Plex Notify crashes in the Log of Events page if I select the empty space where the poster art would be if the movie was still in the PMS.
