How do I fully disable trailers???

Go to your server page directly.. Not the webapp..

Its under Settings then Web then player change trailer playback to zero. (same page as streaming quality settings)

Mmmm.

Since confirming that its trailers causing it. I'm now finding it crashes regardless of trailers.

As soon as I open Plex Notify then pretty much any action is causing a crash.

How do I fully disable trailers???

As far as I can tell the server section of Plex/Web has no setting to fully disable the potential linking to trailers.
(It doesn't download trailers, but only links to them. Anyone who wants locally stored trailers must install them manually.)
The only thing you can configure for the server in Plex/Web is what kind of trailers to include links for.

Whether or not trailers will be used at movie playback is controlled by a setting in each client (if it has trailer support).

For Plex/Web you find it as the submenu entry Settings > Web > Player > 'Cinema Trailers to Play Before Movies'
With that setting as "None", no trailers will be used.

For PHT you find it as Preferences > Playback > Extras > 'Number of cinema trailers before movies'
With that setting as "0", no trailers will be used.

The 'Plex for Android' extras support seems incomplete. I can find no settings for it, and can play trailers only manually through a new icon in the preplay screen. Other extras than trailers are not visible in any way, even when present either with the movie or online and working fine in PHT and Plex/Web. But apparently the automatic trailer playing is off for now.

For iOS devices or smartTV clients I have no advice to give, since I don't use either kind.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. That's not a server setting, but a setting for the Plex/Web client (included with server).
Changing this setting will not affect any other Plex client accessing the same server.

I think you may have some garbage in the PlexNotify database, probably caused by earlier crashes with trailers.

I've never activated the trailer playback before movies in any of my Plex clients (several), and for me PlexNotify has not crashed. I've even played some trailers by manual command, as well as other extras both local and remote, without any problems. So I think there is a problem only with the automatic playing of trailers before movies, and I think that problem can not only cause PlexNotify to crash, but also cause some glitch entry into the database, which in turn can cause future crashing without trailer playback.

The issue i have with this is the settings do not hold when changing them at

http://plex.tv/web/app#!/settings

Only if i go direct to the server at http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/settings. So basically the same place as you mention but acessed from the server directly.

This however may just be an issue at my end.

Done all that. Still crashes out.

Go to freebase agent settings, its there. Not sure if it'll work though.

plex notify crashes anytime I click on a user via statistics that has more than one item viewed. similar to this issue https://plexnotify.codeplex.com/workitem/2016

No eta. I am doing a complete rewrite of plex notify.

I will have a fix for that too when I fix video trailers.

Ok I see the problem, the type is clip and ite treating it as a show. I can easily fix this.

Thanks for the hard work.  I'm getting a crash when I click on a user as well.  I just sent $10 your way.

Thanks I am having trouble fixing this bug at the moment.

I’ll post another XML report on a trailer crash tomorrow once I’ve installed 0.9.9.15.

Oh ok. Anything else any of us can do?

Can you elaborate on the deeper problem?
