My PLEX server is running on a Synology NAS.

Dolby Atmos works fine on my TCL Google TV.
The problem is that most 7.1 and 5.1 multi-channel audio is output as stereo.

When using PLEX on Windows, there is no problem.
Of course, even on Windows, sometimes PLEX’s multi-channel audio is output as as stereo. I can fix this by selecting the sound driver again,
but there is no such setting on Google TV.

I would be grateful if you could tell me how to solve this problem.

There are no sound settings for the Tv at all? Do you have your receiver or soundbar plugged into the ARC HDMI port

Of course I have receiver and On TCL TV, set audio pass through and eARC.
For dolby atmos, it is output 9.1.6 as normal, But for 7.1, 5.1 audio, mostly output as stereo whether it is mp4 or mkv.

Is passthrough set to HDMI in the app?

yes, on the google TV OS and plex app. I select pass through, dolby atmos audios are always normal as 9.1.6 which is my speaker system. only multi channel audios have problems as window plex problems. Window plex problems I can fix. on setting/player, Selecting driver, HDMI, 7.1 can fix it. But there is no that setting on google plex app. What can I do?

Try reading the Exploring Advanced Settings (Audio) on this page, especially point E:

It may or may not help with your Audio issues.

I tested another app. KODI. The same bug happened. I think this is TCL google TV OS sound bug, maybe eARC bug.
