I am looking to find out how can I stream movies from my windows 7 PC to PS3. Do I have to install plex media center on my pc , share the folders and then PS3 should see my PC as plex media server correct ?
just download plex media server onto your windows 7 device.
as long as your ps3 and your winds 7 device are on the same network, your plex media server should show up on your ps3 cross media bar under the various sources (eg: music, video, photos)
works great on all 3 of my ps3's. however, your ps3 will still suffer from cenavia protection on videos that carry that security.
