This has happened twice now, PLEX server runs great, reboot QNAP, plex starts, but complains about database busy or locked, then plex server crashes. Ultimately had to start with blank db and rebuild libraries from scratch, will likely have to do again.
I’ve restored the oldest BU from the maintenance routines and same thing.
I restored the files and rebooted, then started plex and same thing.
I have a set of logs zipped and attached. I have the DB files as well if needed.
I’ve done everything that I could find command line wise to fix the db, but didn’t work. Also tried the tools in Plex UI with no luck.
Friendly crowd here!
So sorry it slipped through the cracks here
Please DM me your database in a zip
Also please switch verbose logging off for now
Debug level should be fine
Hmmm, my blobs db is 70MB compressed, library is 40MB compressed. Uploader says 30MB limit. Am I missing something?
I only need the library db
And put it on like dropbox, and DM me the link
And 4 others following this thread:
After @Zodnas send me his database, I did an automatic repair following this support article:
But there’s a catch
When running an SQLite repair, it uses temp disk as a temporary storage, and on a QNAP, this is sadly RAM disk
As such, you might encounter that the repair simply doesn’t work
As a work around, do the following:
- Download and install a PMS on your workstation (Mac, Linux or Windows) and do not power it up. (This way you have the needed tools avail on your workstation)
- Copy your database to your workstation
- Do the repair on that
- Copy back the repair database to your QNAP
- Profit
I’ll make sure, that the support article get’s updated
