I set my TV Show library to play back shows in order of the date that they were aired. This way specials will play when they are supposed to in between seasons/episodes of a TV series. I tested it in Plex in web browser, it worked. It went from the episode I selected to a special that aired after it, but before the next episode. I also tried it on Plex on my phone, it worked there too.
However, I tested it on the Roku Plex app on my TV. It doesn’t put specials into the que at all, and skips right over them. If I go to the special folder and play a special, it puts them all into the que, and then just goes straight into season 1. I have another TV with a Roku as well, I tried on it but it did the same thing, didn’t play by aired date. The Plex app for Roku seems to be ignoring the play by aired date setting in the Plex server UI. Is there some kind of setting I’m missing or is this a bug?
