Plex on Ugreenn 8800 plus nas

Hi guys.

Could do with a little help please.

I have set up Plex on my 8800 plus Ugreen nas as follows.

Storage pool 1 is 8 x 18tb drives ( for media)

And 1 x 2tb Samsung 990 pro m.2 set up as a normal drive storage pool 2

I have installed Plex container onto the Samsung 990 pro through you tube guide and folders show up in my account but before i dump 66TB from m old Qnap to the Ugreen i think i have done something wrong.

During set up of the container it just pre selected the folder destination that i wanted /tvshows /movies /config folders on the m.2 storage pool.

Should they not go on storage pool 1 main drives media.

I just want to run Plex and meta data from storage pool 2 Samsung pro drive for speed.

I dont want to delete eveything .

Is there a quick work around so Plex container on storage pool 2 sees the folders/media in storage pool 1 please.

Any help would be appreciated.

New to Linux/containers ..Windows was so easy.

You should be able to change these container paths to whatever host path you want.

IMO you should have the paths mapped like this

  • /config > m.2 pool - /config shared folder
  • /transcode > m.2 pool - /transcode shared folder
  • /media > storage pool - /media shared folder

The storage pool/shared folder would need to be created first before you can update the mapping paths.
