Plex Pass and Playstation - Need some help please...

Hi all,

 

OK, here's what I've got so far...

 

PS4 with Plex app installed

Synology 213air with Plex server installed and setup library

 

When I go to the app on the PS4 it asks me to add a PIN online which I do. I then get message saying Plex Pass isn't available but will be soon and that I need to pay for it?

 

Bit confused, how can I get this work? Do I need to pay for a pass or am I missing somwthing?

 

Help!

Yes, currently it is in preview (beta) for PlexPass users: [Plex Pass Features](https://plex.tv/subscription/about), Prices are listed at the bottom.

Note: Be warned that being in preview the application is still in development. If you don't like using/helping test software, I wouldn't recommend buying the pass for soley this app and wait for the public releast.

No, a Plex Pass subscription isn’t free. You can find out more details about it in the link adamskoog mentioned.


To clarify, the PS4 app is in a preview period and you must have a Plex Pass subscription to use it during this period.

OK, thanks got it now.

Think I'll wait to see if Sony get DNLA support back for the PS4 as they had it for PS3.
