Let me start off by stating I have had Plex Pass Lifetime for a while now. No issues with it until today.
I want to add an item into a share i have for my kids account. I connect to the web app (where I mainly use Plex). When I edit the item (TV show) and go to Sharing I get the message: “You need a Plex Pass to use restrictions.”
I go into settings under account and it shows I have Lifetime Plex Pass.
Since I’m clicking around a bit looking to figure out what is going on, I have twice gotten into a state where I login to the web app, select my user and then it comes up and shows me my email address and login button and than takes me back to the users list. The only way to get out is to close the web tab or change the url and then try again.
Can anyone help or tell me how to contact Plex for support?
Same issue as razorant. I CAN add users…however when i try to set restrictions for new users…or even change restrictions for existing, it says i must have a Plex Pass…which…I do.
I refreshed…tried on a different computer…It is still getting same result. It is telling me I need to upgrade to Plex Pass, but I already have lifetime.
I determined this only happens if I launch via plex.tv, though. If I log in by double-clicking the system tray icon on the server, or connect via the local IP, I can successfully see and edit sharing permissions. So it appears limited to coming in via plex.tv, at least for me.
