Plex Pass Issues

Let me start off by stating I have had Plex Pass Lifetime for a while now. No issues with it until today.

I want to add an item into a share i have for my kids account. I connect to the web app (where I mainly use Plex). When I edit the item (TV show) and go to Sharing I get the message: “You need a Plex Pass to use restrictions.”

I go into settings under account and it shows I have Lifetime Plex Pass.

Since I’m clicking around a bit looking to figure out what is going on, I have twice gotten into a state where I login to the web app, select my user and then it comes up and shows me my email address and login button and than takes me back to the users list. The only way to get out is to close the web tab or change the url and then try again.

Can anyone help or tell me how to contact Plex for support?

Not really the same issue, flow. Not trying to add users. I can’t believe I didn’t think to search for that?

I’m trying to tag content under sharing. I do appreciate the response though.

I’ve only seen that happen when folks have different users open in different tabs/windows in the same browser session.

does same thing happen after a page refresh?

Same issue as razorant. I CAN add users…however when i try to set restrictions for new users…or even change restrictions for existing, it says i must have a Plex Pass…which…I do.

Please help!

I refreshed…tried on a different computer…It is still getting same result. It is telling me I need to upgrade to Plex Pass, but I already have lifetime.

Do you have in Settings>General> Automatically Sign in enabled?

THAT fixed it. Thank-you!!

Same issue here as OP.

I determined this only happens if I launch via plex.tv, though. If I log in by double-clicking the system tray icon on the server, or connect via the local IP, I can successfully see and edit sharing permissions. So it appears limited to coming in via plex.tv, at least for me.

Can you try enabling Settings>General> Automatically Sign in ? We believe it has to do with an issue when going through the user selector

Yup, enabling Automatically Sign In worked. Can now see/edit sharing settings when logging in from plex.tv. Thanks!

Enabling Automatically Sign In worked for me as well. Also, the Plex app for Mac worked too.
