Plex Pass - Needed for plugins

Hi Forum.
I have just a quick question. After several years with Pluto@home - MythTV Kodi etc. I decided to try out Plex.

Well - I have build a VM - added the storage folders etc - and installed this plugin --> [REL] LiveTVH - Live TV streaming with Tvheadend

But as I can see - there no view of the LiveTVH plugin - So the question is - Is plex pass needed here - since I cannot find anywhere where this is needed.
My setup is access by VPN so I do not need the plex pass otherwise - than to use this plugin?

Hi,

This is not a Plex Pass thing.

Whilst I believe you can still install plugins, Plex no longer supports them.

So no other options in using a TVheadend server ?
Is there any TVheadend plugins that are supportet

Sorry but I don’t use TVheadend so cannot answer that. I am sure others can though.

Hopefully others can answer on this - as I can see in the plugin log - theres connection to the TVheadend server

Hopefully others can answers here

I use tvHeadend here, but I also have tvhProxy set up to bridge between them. Seems to work reasonably well.

So on my TVheadend server - I need to setup tvhProxy so that Plex connects to tvhproxy - which connects to TVHeadend - is that correctly understand

I don’t know that it’s required, but that’s how I did it.

Well now I have installed the thvProxy on my TVHeadend server - and are getting a picture through the Website - But all my TV’s are LG - so would love to get the LiveTV running on this as well - But I can use the LiveTV through the bowser on My Laptop - But I cannot see the programming guides(EPG) and how to play LiveTV from the LG Client

Is that a normal Problem with the LG Setup ?
When I’m opening the LG App - I see my music/concerts/movies and LiveTV - which only show whats live at the moment - and not a way to play LiveTV

When looking at the at the Live TV Status I’m getting this - but still a ble to play LiveTV only through a browser

Where is this a problenm since My TV not can find/see the tvhProxy

There may be ways to get your TV to talk directly to tvheadend, I don’t know. I use Roku players with Plex clients, web browsers, tablets with Plex clients, and all of them access tvhProxy/tvHeadend through Plex.
