Plex pass on remote server

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

hello, just a general question about plex pass and remote access.
here the scenario.
there is a plex server n.1 on which i connect because invited to share it. this is a remote server for me. the owner is account n.1.
then there is a plex server n.2 which is located in my lan, so I am the owner n.2
account are two separated, so my friend logins with its account and can see the plex server n.1 which is in its lan.
Me, I login with my account and can see its server (remote) and my server (in lan).

I am considering making plex pass because I want to try hw transcoding feature. I am interested only about movies which are located in server n.1.
The question is: is the plex pass related to account or to server? I mean, if I do the pass on first account obviously it will have pass feature, but it will be the same for me, considering that I connect to that server with another account, being a guest.

I can even login with user n.1, but I suppose I will loose my lan server movies.

A bit confused…

If you have a PlexPass-enabled account, and use that account as the server owner, then the PlexPass unlocks features for that server.

Restated: The privileges of the server owner apply to his/her servers (owners).

If you have a Plex Pass, and a friend without a Plex Pass shares to you, that server will not have HW transcoding capability.
