Plex Photos App to synch the phone gallery

Hi,

I think it would be great if the Plex Photos Android App could synchronize with the phone gallery, and automatically upload the new photos in the Plex Server Photos Library.

Just sharing the feedback given by Plex in the beta thread. So at the very least there’s currently no plan to add that feature.

2. Photo uploads/mobile backup
   I know this is a highly requested feature, however it isn’t something we’re working on at the moment. I know this may be disappointing to hear, but I want to be transparent and make sure we’re not promising anything we can’t deliver. With that said, the door isn’t completely closed on this, and it’s a feature we may consider returning to in the future. For now, as others have shared in the thread, there are other apps you may be able to use to sync your mobile photos to a folder on your server that Plex can then scan and import.

Thanks, I saw that, indeed, I tried to find though a similar feature request, but did not find one.

I think that maybe if many people vote for it, guys will then think to implement such a feature.

I know there are other nas - like apps to automatically upload photos, and I tried one once, but was not able to make it work very well…

Really? Because photo backup was a feature I used for a number of years in the Plex app before it mysteriously vanished.
