I haven't had time to search if this has been suggested before, but this is the one feature missing for me in Plex that would nearly complete my functional needs.
Our mobile devices take a lot of videos and images, kids and whatnot. They fill up, constantly. Plex Sync has been awesome in that everything we take is mobile sync to our plex server, but some of the functionality is then missing from when the media is local hosted on the phone.
e.g. once the media is on Plex and I delete it from my phone, I am no longer able to send via email or share on facebook/g+ or you know, any of the gallery features.
Maybe it could be solved in 2 ways, allow a local sync back to the phone/mobile device and also integrate some basic/common sharing functionality in the plex mobile app?
Or maybe I'm missing a workaround that I haven't had time to consider. Thanks!
Syncing back to the phone should already be available via Plex Sync however sharing should be relatively easy to add (in Android, can't speak for iOS). The functionality is all built into the phones os, adding a share button to the interface should be an easy change. I'm actually surprised that it isn't already in there (I haven't really used plex for pictures yet).
Also to add into this, I may create a separate request but somewhat along a similar vain, the mobile upload only covers photos. It does not cover mobile videos, can we include these in the upload too. The upload feature is a wonderful backup for me, if videos were also supported it would literally be the only solution out there to sync mobile all the way to a local file-system and bypass the a cloud provider.
