I can’t get music videos (3-5 min mp4 videos) to continuously play in a playlist. This sometimes occurs after 1 or multiple songs, but it always freezes at the end of the track/video. The UI still operates though, and I can still pull up the player controls and back out to the previous Plex screen.
I’m pretty stumped here and haven’t made much headway with the superficial troubleshooting I’ve attempted so far. This seems to only be a problem on Samsung TV’s, as the same playlist plays uninterrupted on the desktop and mobile apps. When the track gets stuck at the end and I press the back button (which rewinds the video a couple seconds), then the playlist continues to the next video. Curiously, this issue occurs on all 3 TV’s we have in the house. We bought one Samsung TV about a year ago (player version provided above), while the other 2 are close to 5 years old. I don’t know what direct Play or Direct Stream does, but the playback issue still occurs when I toggled those on/off. Same with Disable Bitrate Limiting. I kept “Auto Play Up Next Videos” enabled.
Even if there’s not a quick fix to this (I didn’t see a lot of similar issues posted here or elsewhere), I’d still like to get suggestions on how to best troubleshoot this. I don’t know if this is a file compatibility issue, or just an issue with the TV or TV app. I also don’t want to discount the possibility that this could be a network/internet issue, or something I’m not even thinking of.
