Plex "Random" algorithm -- not so random?

Last year I started adding TV to my plex. After months and months of ripping my blurays, I finally have everything imported.

I often go to a TV show, and hit “shuffle” to play any episode from any season.

Time and time again, when I start shuffle on a new day, I’m seeing the same episodes over and over again-- with a TV show with 100+ episodes.

Is there anyway “shuffle” could have a bit more logic? Like “if this episode was played in the last 1-2 months, don’t play it again”.

I think it’s creating a very similar playlist everyday I hit shuffle as the days prior. It’s not really random.
