Plex Server Automatically close when I launch it

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my Plex Server since Saturday morning, when I open the Plex server on my windows PC… I see the icon and then it close automatically. I tried to reboot my PC, I did the Windows update and I re-install/Repair the Plex Installation… but this didn’t fix my problem.

Not sure what to do from now. If you need me to provide some file, let me know (and where I can get them).

When I try to watch it from my TV or other Plex app it says the server is offline.

Have you moved your Plex data folder away from the default location ( to a removable drive perhaps)?

No, I scheduled the update for the night of friday to saturday morning.

Friday night everything was working well, when I woke up saturday morning my server was done. Since, that can’t launch Plex.

I tried to roll back to previous version - Didn’t fix the problem. Went back to latest version… still having the issue.

Try swapping put the primary database file with a backup:

Do also take a look at the size of this file. If you are over 1 GB, please don’t do anything and report back.

I was able to fix my problem.

Here is the solution for other who might have the same issue. My problem was that the port was use by another program.

I opened the cmd as administrator and then typed:

netstat -ano | findstr :<PORT> (In my case port 32400)

the system gave me an TCP 0.0.0.0:32400 Listening

Then i typed taskkill /PID /F
