Hi, I'm having problems with my plex server, It just desepears from plex.tv/web with message that it is not reachable. When I do service plexmediaserever status I get PlexMediaServer (pid  31968) is running..., if try to restart the server it would say "Waiting for plex to restart" and would go like that forever...

What I have to do is kill plex service manualy than do stop/start...

I have two plex server and I have the same problem on both...

Any ide why is this happeing.

Thanks
Shone

Hi,

Can you post your log files?

Witch one? Plex media server.log?

What to do to get some help with this issue ? Anybody??

Is the server (running on what platform?) accessible locally, rather than through plex.tv? Is the server signed in to plex.tv?

Running on CentOS 6.5, on the dedicated server in Europe, signed in plex.tv, Last version of plex, that I downgraded to the older version but still the same problem.
I have 3 servers running plex and same thing on all three of them... They would just crash and I have to do manual restart of plexmediaserver service...

Yes wired thing it usually happens from 20:00 to 22:00, in that time frame... I taught it might be because in that time I get 20-30 people watching, but that is not the problem, cuz sometime It would crash in the morning when nobody is watching ...

Well, it seems like you've added a server since the OP ... and details like sharing with "20-30 people" put this out of my wheelhouse ... too many variables with which I have zero experience  :(.

As suggested before, the logs are a good place for you to start, particularly if you can pin down the times where PMS "crashed" ... otherwise, they will be a mess for anybody to decipher.

It just crashed like hour ago and I have log, but it contains tokens also, so I'm not sure is it safe to share it here....

what version of Plex Media Server ? Almost all token logging got removed in recent versions.

Anyway you can run repetitive edits (Replace All) on the file replacing your token text with xxxxxxxx

Similarly for your WAN IP Address - you can replace all occurrences with something like my.wan.ip.add

I’m having similar issues. When I play a movie, the server crashes. Attached are my logs. Plex Media Server Logs_2019-04-16_15-43-48.zip (1.2 MB)
