Hi, I tried to search the forums to find out if there is a solution to this problem , but don’t know if I’m searching the correct terms. I have noticed for about the past week or so that each time I play an episode from a show or a movie, the Plex server just shuts itself down on my computer. I then have to go to the Start Menu to restart it manually. It works just fine when I restart it, but it never shut down previously unless I selected that choice from the menu. I am on Windows 7 SP1, x64 and running Plex version 0.9.11.7.803-87d0708. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Hello, you are running an extremely old version of the software. You should upgrade to the newest server version. However, you must make sure to have fully updated your OS, as Plex requires a fully updated operating system with newer server versions.
I am running all the current versions of plex and also up to date with windows 10 and I find that my plex server continues to shut down after watching a TV show.
Okay, I see this thread has never really been addressed. I too am running Windows 10 and the most current version of Plex. At the end of every episode Plex Server will shut down. I have to restart it every time. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
I started having this issue. Did anyone find a solution? Eberytime an episode 8f a TV show finishes the plex shuts down and my computer too.
