It crashes running scheduled tasks, I believe it is during video preview thumbnail creation. It also crashes when I try creating the thumbnails using the Manage Library → Analyze menu. It runs for a while and then suddenly it stops. My player does not say that the server is down, but it does become unresponsive. Most of the time I cannot even reboot the Shield, I need to actually power it down to reboot it. I would really to get the video preview thumbnails working.
It doesn’t matter which library I run the Analyze command on. Movies or Series. The result is always the same. If I’m lucky it will create thumbnails for a couple of titles and then die. If I’m unlucky, it dies instantly. It doesn’t crash on the same file each time either, so I know it’s not the video file that it has problems with.
Please help. Logs are included. I tried to decipher them on my own, but I guess I’m not smart enough. Also it looks like the file ‘Plex Media Server.log’ gets overwritten on a reboot, so I cannot see what was happening at the moment of the crash. How can I download the log file directly from my Shield when the server isn’t running (after the crash? I guess that’s where to find the solution.
