As you can see in the screenshot, the Plex Server is showing that it’s checking for updates constantly (in the GUI). It seems to be running fine, but even restarting the Plex Server and the Plex Update Service did not resolve the issue. Anyone else experiencing this (or know of a fix)?
As an aside, recently, the server has been acting strange where it’s running, but I am not able to access it via any players (both on network or off). Restarting the Plex Server resolves the issue, but this is a new phenomenon. The stability of the server has been one of the shining features of Plex (for me).
This seems to have resolved itself…it just seemed to take a VERY long time to check for updates. There was one, and it downloaded and installed just fine.
Now I’m just waiting for it to figure out there are no more… The same “Checking for Updates” for a long time thing going on…not sure what that’s about. Maybe my level of patience was based upon previous “Checking for Updates” taking no time at all…
I will say that refreshing the screen made it look like it was “Checking for Updates” and then refreshing again showed the above screen…it’s got to be some sort of browser caching issue… But for anyone else experiencing this, try refreshing the screen a few times I guess…?
