Plex server Check for Update button greyed out

I cannot update my Plex Server. The Check for Updates button is disabled. I am on Version 1.9.4.4325.
I was notified via the Apple TV Plex app that there was an update for the server, and I think i chose to update later.

I have rebooted the PC used for the server, no change. When I choose “Check for Updates” from the Plex icon in the system tray, it doesn’t do anything.

Why is it broken and how do I fix it?

same here. I just manually downloaded the latest release from the plex website. Update went fine and now the check for updates button is back to normal

something is wrong with this, check for updates is greyed out for me as well, (http via app.plex.tv)

am currently on 1.10.0.4516 (Win10)

can see there is a new version in “Whats new” Version 1.10.0.4523, but cannot install via the usual method by checking check for updates,

I had this same problem server is on win 10, check the web from different browsers and different devices same as video above.

A manual download of 1.10.0.4516 seems to have fixed the problem.

this is still not fixed. as soon as a new update comes out, its greyed out again

Although manual install of a new version fixes the issue temporarily, as soon as I restart the plex server, it reverts back to the old version. I’m on a Mac, version 1.9.7.4460.

yes, you are correct, it is exactly that bug, deleting that reg key fixes the problem with check for updates

I’m a mac user, same bug, no registry. Suggestions?
